Research
Broadly exploring neural plasticity in the adult hypothalamus and more specifically, the role of tanycytes as potential neural stem cells or as a supportive niche involved in adult hypothalamic neurogenesis. Investigating the mechanisms by which tanycytes sense nutrients and communicate with the appetite regulatory nuclei in the hypothalamic parenchyma and how nutritive status regulates the cell number and cycle of hypothalamic stem cells.
